Prof. Ondřej Slabý received the Academician of the Year 2026 Award again

The Academician of the Year award is an annual tradition organized by the Medical Students’ Association at the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University. Students first nominate their teachers and the final selection is made through voting in the university’s information system. In this year’s edition, nearly fifty academics were nominated, and the voting took place from December 2025 to 31 January 2026.

The results of the poll were announced during the Faculty of Medicine’s Representative Ball, which traditionally takes place at the beginning of March. The award therefore represents recognition from students who appreciate high-quality teaching, an inspiring approach, and the personal commitment of their educators.
