Our PhD student Natália Vadovičová was awarded for her poster showing the control of AMPK kinase by the translation factor eIF4F in malignant melanoma.
The conference "XXV. Biologické dny: od nádorové biologie po precizní onkologii" took place at the beginning of September and the award for the best poster presentation won our doctoral student Ing. Natália Vadovičová from dr. Stjepan Uldrijan research group. Natália presented the poster entitled "eIF4F contributes to the control of AMPK activity in malignant melanoma", the abstract available here (Czech only). The Head of the Department of Biology, Prof. Ondřej Slabý, has been elected Academician of the Year for preclinical teaching in a student poll organized by the Medical Students Association. The award ceremony occurred during the 26th Faculty of Medicine and Medical Students Association Representative Ball. Congratulations 😊.
