The Andrysik Lab from the Department of Biology, Faculty of Medicine, partnered with The Krtek Children's Oncology Endowment Fund to host a successful fundraising event benefiting children with cancer.
The Annual PhD Conference in Biomedical Sciences 2024 is approaching
This year, the Biology Department is traditionally organizing the Annual PhD Conference in Biomedical Sciences, which will take place on the 6th-8th of November at the University Campus in Brno. More than 50 PhD students from various departments of the Faculty of Medicine MU, CEITEC MU and FNUSA-ICRC will present the results of their dissertations in the field of Biomedicine.
About event
The Annual PhD Conference in Biomedical Sciences brings together PhD students from different fields offering a chance to present their research in front of a miscellaneous audience promoting open discussions among participants.
The conference will be held among students of all three specializations following the idea "More people, more science & more fun!". Therefore, all students in the program take active part creating a team spirit, facilitating exchange of ideas and promoting communication between different departments.
Program
Newly, the whole conference will take place in the CEITEC MU atrium. The conference starts on the 6th November and the registration desk will be open from 08:00 - 08:30.
This year, the conference will last three days. Overall, 7 students will give talks as part of their doctoral state exams, 8 students will present their progress report s and 45 students will present posters during three poster sessions, which create great environment for networking.
