Science and Clinical Trials - How it works and why it matters

This seminar will bring us some new insight into job opportunities more close to clinical trials with Eva Rodrigues Ph.D. - Associate Clinical Trial Manager in Medpace
When: 15th November, 17h00 (CET)
Where: Seminar Room C03/117, Masaryk University Campus, Brno-Bohunice (or online)
Biography:
Eva Rodrigues holds a Master in Cellular and Molecular Biology from University of Coimbra and received her Ph.D. in Neuroscience and Pharmacology at the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich. Eva carried out her postdoctoral research at the IINS - Interdisciplinary Institute for Neuroscience in Bordeaux. During her studies and as a postdoc, her research was focused on neurodegenerative diseases. Through the combination of cell/molecular biology, microscopy, electrophysiology and pharmacological treatments, Eva explored the mechanisms and consequences of synaptic dysfunction in Alzheimer’s disease. In her second year of the postdcoc, Eva realized that a career in academia did not suit her personality and interests, and she switched to the industry. She worked 2 years as a Pharmacologist in preclinical research, dedicated to finding new drugs in neuroscience, at Bial in Portugal. Today, back in Munich, Eva is an Associate Clinical Trial Manager in a CRO company Medpace.
