Short Workshop - "Networking and Communication"

This workshop will be organized by Sofia Morazzo, also organizer of the BIOTOP Seminars. 

When: 19th October, from 16h00 to 18h00 (CET)

Where: Seminar Room C03/117, Masaryk University Campus, Brno-Bohunice (also online, but for the purposes of this workshop in person is preferable)

Goals of this workshop:

- Introduce to soft skills, why they matter and how to develop them

- Presenting some techniques and resources on how to improve communication

- Presenting tips and tricks for networking more efectively

- What is a pitch and how to deliver?

- Some practice exercises 

This workshop has also as a goal to determine the overall interest in these type of soft skill development so we can organize a workshop with a professional.

Biography:

Sofia obtained her degree as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at the University of Lisbon, Portugal and has been working as a PhD student and a Technology Scout for the International Clinical Research Center, St.Anne's University Hospital. She won the Pitch Award in the SPARK Course of Biomedical Innovation and Entrepreneurship as well as the Pitch Award in the "From PhD to Innovator" workshop from the Falling Walls Foundation. She has experience in deep tech pitching events and enjoys mentoring students about networking and communication.
