"From Ph.D. to IP manager and importance of IP protection in biotech."

 

This seminar will discuss the importance of technology transfer and Intellectual Property protection. These are pillars of the biotech space and it's how innovation is secured so it can be developed by a company. 

Marketa received her PhD in virology at Universität Wien in Austria. She has completed several international internships, e.g., at the National Reference Laboratory in Finland. She gained translational research experience in the area of clinical testing of drugs for selected oncological diseases at the University of Newcastle in Australia. At the University of Sussex, UK, she has been involved in research of translational mechanisms. She is a project manager at the MU Technology Transfer Office, focusing on IP (intellectual property) protection consultancy and IP management at Masaryk University.
