This year, AZV ČR supported a total of 96 projects in the field of healthcare research and development. The Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University received support for 9 projects in total. The total amount of CZK 30 million will be allocated to projects from our department.
The supported projects at the Faculty of Medicine also include two projects by scientists from the Biology Department. As part of the first project, Associate Professor Jiří Sána and his colleagues will work on research into new therapeutic targets for overcoming radioresistance in glioblastoma. In the second project, Dr. Míša Bosáková will investigate the role of the localization of the receptor for fibroblast growth factor (FGFR2) in the primary cilium in the pathogenesis of glioblastoma.
