Head of the Department of Biology was a government commissioner, pedagogue and scientist for a year

Molecular biologist, Ondřej Slabý, who works as the Head the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Medicine MU and leads a research group at CEITEC MU, resigned from the position of government commissioner for science and research in health care.​

Three scientists from the Department of Biology received the MUNI Scientist award

The Masaryk University Grant Agency awarded the MUNI SCIENTIST prize for the second time for significant achievements in the field of research. Of the five nominated researchers and their teams, Lumír Krejčí and Pavel Krejčí and Michaela Bosáková, all from the Department of Biology, were awarded for the Faculty of Medicine.​
