The two PhD candidates - MVDr. Lucie Kubíčková and Mgr. Veronika Pospíšilová successfully defended on the 27.04.2021. During the PhD studies, Lucie has studied the mechanisms that underlie the development of trigeminal neuropathic pain and Veronika has focused on tissue effects associated with genetic stability of stem/progenitor cells.
We wish to both absolvents best of luck and a lot of success in their next professional steps.
This year, the Biology Department is also organizing the Annual PhD Conference in Biomedical Sciences, which will take place on the 8th-10th of November at the University Campus in Brno. More than 50 PhD students from various departments of the Faculty of Medicine, CEITEC MU and FNUSA-ICRC will present the results of their dissertations in the field of Biomedicine.

Our first invited speaker will be Dr. Kateřina Šolcová, who will talk about her career path from successfull completion of her PhD studies in Cell Biology at the University of Basel in Switzerland towards her current position as a member of the business analytical team at Charles University Inovation Prague.
