Team of Professor Šmajs described a new strategy for characterizing the human pathogen that causes yaws disease
At the beginning of this year, scientists from the group of Professor David Šmajs in international cooperation published their results in the journal Plos Neglected Tropical Diseases. In the publication, they described a new method for characterizing the bacterium Treponema pallidum, which causes severe yaws disease. These results could help make the ongoing eradication program more efficient.
